Intelligent Design is an argument for creationism disguised as something non-religious that portrays the universe and life as being created by an intelligent force rather than through the big bang and evolution. This is done in an attempt to teach creationism in public schools.

All linked to one organization

• Just about all of the promoters of Intelligent Design are linked to just one organization, the Discovery Institute. (1), (2)

Not testable

• Science has to be testable. (3)
• Unlike natural selection which is testable, fruit flies can evolve because many generations of them go by in a short time and bacterial resistance to antibiotics can be observed.
• Intelligent Design can not be tested in the lab, it is not possible to inject some "Intelligent Designer" 'energy' into fruit flies and see if or how they evolve. There is no scientific way to see if an 'Intelligent Designer' had any part in creating anything.

Is an establishment of religion

• In the case of Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District, it was ruled that teaching Intelligent Design in public schools constituted an Establishment of Religion. (4)
